The China publisher for Final Fantasy XIV, Shanda Games, recently announced the pricing model for the game in China. First, the early birds special, where the 39 CNY (6.33 USD) package will get players 65 hours of game time, with extra 10 hours as a special gift if redeemed before 15th August.
After the promo period, 1 hour of game time will cost 0.60 CNY. This adds up to 432 CNY (70.16 USD) each month, if the game is played 24 hours each day. This is more expensive than World of Warcraft China, which uses the hourly method and costs 324 CNY (52.62 USD) if played 24 hours for a whole month.
