After months of online and offline events around China, Shanda Games will finally be launching Open Beta for Final Fantasy XIV on 25th August. Mr Zhang Xiangdong, Shanda Games CEO and Mr Naoki Yoshida, Director and Producer for Final Fantasy XIV, recorded 2 videos to celebrate the occasion.
Final Fantasy XIV China will launch with version 2.1, A Realm Awoken, which was updated back in July. The game will still utilize the monthly payment model, which Shanda Games found minor success with NCsoft’s Aion. There are several sales channels for the game, each with exclusive digital items.
