Going live today, the South Korean server for TERA is receiving its first level cap increment since March of 2012. Known as “Transcendence: The Forgotten Continent”, the level cap will now be increased to level 65, along with a bevy of new maps and dungeons. Read on to find out more!
For open field maps, there will 4 new ones. Each will have a randomly spawned champion monster (or field boss), where players can defeat it for extra rewards. Just to note, this is a brand new continent, where the environmental design may seem more “ancient” given structures.
For dungeons, there are 7 new ones. 5 of them are end-game dungeons, while 2 are added right into the levelling process (no level stated). There are a mix of 3-man to 5-man dungeons, along with different dailt entry restrictions, thus it seems like a pretty good mix of hunting choices.
From what I am reading, there is a new 3 vs 3 PvE arena. Each team will have to defeat waves of monsters, and after each wave, the team with the lower kills will get de-buffed while the team with higher kills will get buffed. Sounds pretty imbalance, but I guess players will have to try it out first.
