After 6 long years, developer NCsoft finally added a new class to Lineage Korea, the Warrior. A rather old-school class, the Warrior wields 2 one-handed weapons, including swords and axes. The highlight of the Warrior is the supposed hack-and-slash mechanic specially implemented.
It seems surprising how Lineage is still NCsoft’s top revenue earner for many years despite being 16 years old (launched in 1998) and without having a new class for 6 years. I can’t see any modern day online games surviving this long, though NCsoft did continuously update the game with content.
