Molten Games, which received a “multi-million” investment from NCsoft in 2013, has laid off most of its employees. As of now, there are conflicting reports as some insiders claim that currently, “the whole studio is looking for work“, while others “confirm” that Molten Games is now closed.
The new studio was founded by several game veterans in the gaming industry, with experiences in Blizzard, Sony Online Entertainment and many more. It was developing Blunderbuss, a “core” MMORPG powered by Unreal Engine 4. NCsoft claims it is only an investor with no management rights.
