First teased a couple of weeks ago in both the Korean and English media, Bluehole Studio finally revealed the new Elin-exclusive class, which will debut in the Korean server on 9th January 2014. This new class will also debut in the English server later this year.
I am unable to translate the class name (비검, Chinese media named her as Flying Sword), but it will be a mid-range class using dark magic and dual hooks as weapons. She is also known as “Dark Elin”, rather than the regular Elin we are seeing in the game now.
Classified with a DPS role and wearing leather armor, it is said that the AOE damage dealt will be second only to the Mystic Sorcerer. She will also have a couple of skills which will allow her to do short-distance teleports, greatly improving survivability in both PvE and PvP.
There is a storyline on how this class came about, but I will leave it to the English publisher to localize that. There will be new looks and visual aspects exclusive to this class as well. The new Elin class can be created after a player hits level 40 on any character. Update: The new class created will be at level 50.
