Also known as Aura Kingdom in the English market, Fantasy Frontier saw a new 10 vs 10 PvP map added yesterday. Loosely translated as the Icecrown Battlefield, it pitches Team Blue against Team Red, with each representing the element of fire and ice. Entry is gained at level 60, with the map being a single-lane affair and small mobs spawning for either side.
Yes, this is actually similar to Proving Grounds in League of Legends. At the 20 minutes mark, if none of the camp is destroyed, a giant will spawn for each side, moving towards the centre. The new objective now is to defeat the opposing team’s giant, and the win will be granted to the first team to do so.
The 11th weapon has been teased to be the Tachi, a 2-handed sword longer than a katana in real life. Not much is said, except that players wielding the sword can gain energy while fighting, and unleash powerful skills once there is enough. Some skills are said to be “unblockable”, but nothing is confirmed at this moment (might be just for marketing purposes).
New features will be added for each weapon type, such as Sword & Shield being able to actively block and shield his friends from attacks; Cannon being able to further upgrade offensive and healing turrets for different situations, and more. Finally, coming later this month are 2 new maps in crisis, loosely translated as Griffon Highlands and Grand Ice Cliff.
