For those of you who did not already know, there are currently 2 Monster Hunter MMORPG, one being Monster Hunter Frontier (Japan, Taiwan) and Monster Hunter Online (China). Capcom Korea recently posted job ads, seeking to fill various positions for the expanding studio.
1 of the positions, under game design (below), requires “deep gameplay experience of Monster Hunter” other than skills and knowledge such as system planning, content planning, UI planning, level planning, live service experience in commercial games and also the ability to converse in basic Japanese.
Another interesting position, which is classified under “Client, server and engine” (below), includes a clear job scope – server and client development for Monster Hunter. Other skills and knowledge required includes experience in commercial game engines and deep understanding of C/C++ and STL.
Monster Hunter Frontier was once published in Korea by NHN Corp (Hangame), but it failed so miserably that the CEO declared the company will no longer publish any overseas games, something which was fulfilled thus far. Is a new Monster Hunter MMORPG really being developed? Hmn…
