As reported in the China media, Blizzard’s latest online title, Hearthstone, has been delayed for launch in the world’s largest gaming market. This is apparently down to the “gambling” elements found during the government review. If true, the delay could at least be 3 months.
While not official, the “gambling” element is supposedly the need to buy booster packs and get better cards on a random basis. Hence, spending cash while not getting a confirmed product caused the officials to trigger the alarm. Publisher Neteas has yet to make any announcement.
