First released in Japan back in 2007, Monster Hunter Frontier has seen 6 years of uncertainty in its overseas efforts, particularly when the Korean server closed down back last year. The game will be self-published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, arriving on a rather late schedule of October 2014.
While the game has been continuously getting major content updates in Japan, it remains to be seen how gamers will react to the rather dated graphics and a potential P2P business model. Remember, this is not Monster Hunter Online, with CryEngine 3 and a F2P model in its bag.
