After years of delay, although not as long as Ragnarok Online 2’s, Lime Odyssey is finally set to enter Open Beta in Korea on 4th July, at 15:00 Korean time. Lime Odyssey is touted as the “true” Ragnarok Online 2, as the previous lead developer of Ragnarok Online is leading the game.
First known as Sirius Entertainment for the development studio, Lime Odyssey was set to take the gaming world by storm a couple of years back after several overseas servers being signed, including North America under Aeria Games. The studio subsequently folded, reborn as Cykan Entertainment.
Daum Communications is an online media giant in Korea, and due to its expansion into the online gaming world, Lime Odyssey’s new publisher was then found. Daum will also be publishing the epic Black Deserts in Korea.
Featuring 3 races, 4 classes, and a couple of life professions such as tailor and cook, Lime Odyssey also offers a nice housing system, where players may form towns of their own when their houses are built close to each other’s. And don’t forget the farming system!
Korean female pop group, Hello Venus, is the official spokesperson for Lime Odyssey’s launch, or rather, re-launch depending on how you see it. Thanks to Rafi for the tip via Facebook.
