Closed Beta 3 for Blade & Soul China started a couple of hours ago, and publisher Tencent Games included the cash shop in the latest client version. A sneak peek at the prices revealed that the cheapest item costs 1.80 CNY (0.30 USD) with the most expensive at 47.00 CNY (7.60 USD).
In my previous post, I talked about how the monthly VIP, which reportedly costs 10 CNY, to most likely be a mistake from the Chinese media. The price is actually not far away. For a 7-day VIP package, it costs just 3.00 CNY (0.50 USD), which equates to about 13.00 CNY (2.11 USD) for 30 days.
The VIP package comes with a plateau of goodies, including special colored character name, logo, a mere 15-second rest period for regaining health, 100% increment of base stamina, 5% increment in regenerating, 5% increment in base HP, and 5% increment in base defense.
Most of the other packages are for potions, including revival scrolls, teleport scrolls etc. Majority of the items, however, are really the cash costumes.
The most expensive item, at 47.00 CNY (7.60 USD), is the spy costume seen first below (note: confirmed to be permanent in this CBT phase). All cash costumes do not have additional stats, which will no doubt please fans who were fearing this system after the Free-to-Play model announcement.
