[Register now] After a few months of testing, Perfect World Entertainment has finally announced the Open Beta date, along with a final Beta Weekend for Neverwinter, its new action MMORPG.
Open Beta begins on 30th April 2013, while Beta Weekend 4 lasts from 12th to 14th April 2013. For the final Beta Weekend, activation keys are still needed, and the fastest way to obtain them is to purchase 1 of the 2 top tier founder’s packs.
Players who bought 2 of the founder’s packs will get early access to Open Beta. Hero of the North‘s purchasers will get an early 5-day access, while Guardian of Neverwinter‘s purchasers will get an early 3-day access.
I played Neverwinter during 1 of the Beta Weekends, and I am impressed with the Foundry system, which lets players create their own dungeons and publish them for other players to explore.
It is an awesome feature, and I wonder why other online games have not managed to implement something similar effectively.
