Similar to Age of Wushu back in its early days in development, China developer Snail Game will be starting its offline Vanguard Test this coming Friday, lasting for a week. 30 lucky gamers within China will be provided with an all-expenses-paid trip to the studio for this event.
Without a doubt, Snail Game’s colorful founder and CEO, Mr Shi Hai, will be there as well. It is part of the company’s effort to gather feedback from gamers from all walks of life during the development phase.
Developed using an upgraded version of the in-house engine which crafted Age of Wushu, Flexi Engine, Black Gold Online tells of an epic struggle between 2 factions over the resource known as Black Gold. While 1 faction is determined to use it for magic, the other wants to use it for technology.
Both of these factions have 3 races (2 still in development) and 3 unique classes each (has a further 3 advancements to choose from each). As seen in the video below, 4 of the races are introduced, 2 from each faction.
The magic-friendly races live in locations where wildlife prospers, where the technology races live on barren lands. Which side will you choose?
