A hybrid between the the genres of MMORPG and RTS, Monarch: Heroes of a New Age is looking to melt gamers’ screens in the near future. You see, players are allowed to control up to 25 soldiers, just like in a RTS. But mind you, this is also a full blown 3D title as well. A preview is shown in the trailer above, as well as a new endgame dungeon which seemingly does not allow the usage of players’ huge armies.
Monarch is currently in the midst of its week-long public beta in Korea. Published by CJ E&M, the game is also confirmed for the English market at Gamescom 2012. Though scheduled for a launch at end 2013, I doubt it will make it in time. You can read the official press release here.
