NetEase is China’s 2nd biggest online gaming company, and also the proxy publisher for Blizzard’s games such as Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft. However, Diablo 3 has yet to be launched in China, with several hurdles on the way. Apparently not wanting to wait any long, NetEase decided to lift the lids off its own MMO action RPG, The Legend of Tibet.
There are currently 4 classes, and currently the touted feature is non-target action combat (dependent on players’ control), even for mobs’ attacks. The theme is a rather unique one, since this is the first time I have seen a game with Tibet and its myths as backdrop, although most of the things are exaggerated and side closer to fantasy.
Expect dungeons filled with traps, full randomized features (entrances etc) and secret pathways via environment destruction.
