[Source] Nexon America announced a new CEO earlier today (effective 1st September 2012), and man his credentials look awesome. His name is Min Kim, and from my past knowledge, isn’t afraid to mingle with the crowds at game conventions. He was part of the team to set up Nexon America back in 2005 as well. He replaces Daniel Kim, who is relocating back to Seoul to take on new duties at Nexon.
Min Kim is now Nexon America’s Senior Vice President, Live Games, overseeing game production and marketing. Min also spearheaded the adoption of digital content cards at retail, including Nexon America’s recently launched prepaid card platform, Karma Koin.
Min currently serves on the board for the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, the Americas Advisory Board for the Merchant Risk Council and the board of advisors for the Game Developers Conference Online. Prior to Nexon, Min was an investment banking analyst in the media group of Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics-Statistics from Columbia College.
