First thought to be the big reveal at ChinaJoy 2012 for Perfect World, it remains a mystery to me why so much information is being released for Legend of the Condor Heroes despite Swordsman Online entering its first Closed Beta later this year.
Granted, this game will most probably see a release late next year and uses the totally “new” ARK engine and a different game storyline. But face it, at this point in time, this looks too similar to Swordsman Online, and I bet a hundred bucks few will be able to tell the difference based on the debut trailer below.
Also released were some pretty awesome images, describing each location. This is just a first look at the in-game environment, and I am certain the rough edges will be polished gradually. Still, I could not fathom the idea behind announcing this game now, even if it is part of Perfect World’s latest strategy to have a whole series of martial arts-related online games.
