DotA + Journey to the West. Before you go “WTF”, hold your breath, I am in awe as well. If you are not, you are most probably not a fan of the classic novel. God of Destiny is actually labeled as a “new DotA” game from 1 of Taiwan-based Wayi International’s game studios.
I am really wondering how much more are Chinese developers going to butcher/ milk Journey to the West dry. The main selling point of the game so far sees the mention of PvE maps and calling out a special mob wave after gaining points from killing enemy heroes.
Perhaps the most “eye-striking” will be having both female and male versions of each character. Yes, expect a female Monkey God (or Sun Wukong), Pigsty (or Zhu Ba Jie) and even a female version of their mentor, Tripitaka. The game will be on ChinaJoy 2012′s show-floor. I think that is my tummy churning…
