As some of you might have known, XLGAMES’ debut title, ArcheAge, was first developed on CryEngine 2. However, it would seem that Crytek has “abandoned” that, and instead push out the upgrade CryEngine 3 instead.
Hence, ArcheAge got on the bandwagon as well. While the previous CBT phases have looks glorious, Closed Beta 5 will be the first client based fully on CryEngine 3.
With my limited knowledge of the Korean language, I may not get far in Closed Beta 5 (starting 16th August), but I will sure as hell try to progress as far as possible, capturing some amazing videos of the world’s in-game feel. Hopefully, I will be able to get into the China server’s Closed Beta coming this year end, since Chinese is 1 of my native languages.
