[Game website] Well, those are not my words, but Gamigo is apparently touting Grimlands as the “real” shooter MMORPG in its latest gameplay video. Note that it is “shooter MMORPG”, not “online shooter”… Oh well. As revealed at gamescom 2011 last year, Grimlands’ setting takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, with what seems to be mutated humans and zombies roaming the wild.
From what I know, there are not many online games out there with similar settings making a big impact out in the industry. Anyway, Grimlands reminds me of Fallen Earth + All Points Bulletin (APB) in a way, though both are hardly hugely successful titles. But still, are you ready to explore the mutated wild west?
