As I couldn’t understand a word of Korean, I had to wait till the game was available either in Taiwan or China. The game in question will be Dragon Ball Online, which a new acquaintance from the Taiwan MMO industry gave me a VIP beta key to access these few days. As I skipped a day and did not play much during the limited hours, pardon me as I managed only to record some newbie footage without the high level content.
If you noticed below, the human character is named DBOBrasil. Some eager players from that forum emailed me about updates for the game and share some info with me as well. For that, I thought it would be appropriate to at least name one of my test characters as the site’s name. Hello DBOBrasil!
In one of the Namek footage, a player challenged me for open PvP to clear a quest. And yes, this mutual PvP is kind of fun, seeing that the skills regenerates fast (at least at low levels) and it seems the melee class has the advantage in the beginning. Also seen will be the instance where players travel back in time and discover the landing of Dragon Ball’s main character, Son Goku.
One simple system which really pleased me was the… bus feature. Yeah, it is simple, but which MMOs have this to help players travel across nearby location and also huge regions? Players can also board and get off along anytime along the designated route. Call me a country bumpkin, the bus system is really cool for me no matter what. The combat, as seen, is typically fast with no complains form me at all. If you are worried about the child-like characters, they will grow into adult forms for all races at later levels. With that said, it is 4am here and I am too tired to continue typing. For more information about the game, click here.
