Age of Titans, an upcoming MMO developed by I Got Games (IGG), strangely does not have a website still. Well, for whatever reason, they are choosing a few gaming sites to slowly reveal the game’s features. Touted by IGG as supposedly “better” than Diablo 3 in foreign media, let’s take a better look at what Age of Titan has to offer. To start off, there will be 3 races: Humans, Titans and Elves. This is followed by 4 classes, Berserker, Marksman, Elementalist and Conjurer. No details so far as to what role each classes do, which left me thinking if Conjurer could be the healer class.
As mentioned previously in my posts, players will get to explore a vast land sculpted from various civilizations, from the ancient orient China to the mysterious sunken city of Atlantis and to the mighty Mount Olympus and more. The screenshot below shows part of the Egypt area.
There will be an aerial system where players, once a flying mount is obtained, will be explore the huge world of Age of Titan. From the details given, there will be a massive amount of flying areas for players to explore, like finding secret islands in the middle of the oceans and more.
God weapons. For each race, there will be specific god-class weapons to be found. These are not only weapons of mass destruction (no pun intended), each will apparently come with a unique skill of its own. Just like living weapons, players can customized the elements, stats and more for these god weapons.
For PvP, this is where the game truly shines. There will be active dodging, jumping, blocking and striking. Moving combat in Age of Titan will also aim to do away with the age old “standing PvP” found in almost all games. With various movement and action animations, coupled with various effects like poison, stun, lowering movement speed and more, players will no doubt drawn to this feature.
In Age of Titan, there will be a new Tribal War system. If a guild won the control over a territory, the guild leader may ally with other guilds to defend the territory together. At the same time, the guild leader may adjust the tax intake of the area, giving him resources to build up the guild. For more PvP modes available in Age of Titan, you may visit my previous post right here.
Age of Titan will also feature a changing weather system, where all environmental changes and effects are skillfully designed to be as life-like as possible. This is also implemented on the overall environment, buildings and surroundings, using the aid of advance lighting and graphics technology.
Well, that’s it for this brief introduction. While many say that Age of Titan does incredibly resembles Perfect World’s Battle of the Immortals, I guess we will have to try this out before condemning the game in any way.
