NHN Corp, publisher for the upcoming MMORPG epic, TERA, is supposedly celebrating an early Christmas (or windfall) even before the game starts its commercial service. According to analysts, overseas investors are really high on TERA at the moment, including an impressive showing at this year’s G*Star 2010 and bought up much of NHN Corp’s shares. On 7th December, more than 300,000 NHN shares were snapped up in a single day by overseas investors. As of 14th December, more than 65% of NHN’s shares are in foreign hands.
With the aid of TERA and many its many online businesses, analysts are predicting a growth of 9.3% to 17.4% for NHN Corp. However, this number still pretty much depend on TERA’s success in Korea as a monthly Pay to Play (P2P) triple-A title. With TERA (Korea) due to start its Open Beta service in January, will this game wow the masses? Well, I am personally bowled over already, can’t wait for a shot at the game itself when the English version arrives.
