It seems like NCsoft, Korea’s premier online gaming company, has been in the news lately for several non-gaming matters. Now, it has been reported that NCsoft has filed documents with the Korea Baseball Organisation (KBO) to start its own baseball team in Korea’s professional baseball league.
A spokesperson for NCsoft has since spoken, saying that NCsoft is showing its support to the development of baseball in Korea though this proposal.
The board at Korea’s baseball league had mixed opinions about this, and the results will only be known by early January next year. On a side note, NCsoft has tried to buy a baseball team back in 2001, Kia Tigers, but ended up as the losing bidder.
