Just a few hours ago, Perfect World Beijing revealed its ambitious plan, Project GT10, for their upcoming MMO title, Empire of the Immortals. Project GT10’s core aim is to launch the game in 10 different countries and at the same time, localized all the content. This will mean there might be different content etc for different regional servers. In order to fulfill this grand localization plan, Perfect World has formed a “GT10 Quality Assurance Panel”, roping in experienced gamers and veterans of the industry from these countries and seeking their different opinions and perspectives. Perfect World believes this project will aid Empire of the Immortals to be a truly global product. The company will also be planning to seek more intake from Runic Games’ staff.
I am not going to translate the panel members’ information, but here are a few of the confirmed ones.
France representative – Fillon (testing instances) |
United Kingdom representative – Eadbeorht (testing Territorial Wars) |
Japan representative – 津川秀治 (testing territorial wars) |
Australia representative – Bessy (testing pets and summoning system) |
Other countries in Project GT10 include Korea, Brazil, Russia, United States of America, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan (apparently they listed Hong Kong and Taiwan under China territory, hence 11 countries here in the list).
