It has become almost a norm now for bigger MMO titles, including Blade & Soul, to release their trailers based entirely on in-game footage. ArcheAge, developed by XLGames and creator of NCsoft’s Lineage, Jake Song, has done the same as well. In the game’s G*Star 2010 trailer, everything is shot in-game and demonstrating Cry Engine 2’s prowess. Do note that the game is still scheduled for a release in 2012, and it is looking mighty awesome right now. Having sent the game to various countries, I could not help to wonder which publisher will snag the rights for an English version.
The trailers below demonstrates some of the features found in ArcheAge, including destroyable environments, building of houses, siege wars, construction of ships and even battle at sea. For the naval battle, each player will have control of one function of the ship. Isn’t that awesome?
