According to foreign reports, Yolim Communications, the developer of arcade shooting MMO, Valkyrie Sky, has gotten into a legal dispute with the game’s publisher in Korea, JCE. JCE is also the publisher for the North American server, under their own portal, Gamekiss. The main issue centers around profits which Yolim claims were not given to them by JCE, hence unable to pay their staff. However, JCE claims that the appropriate amount was given and Yolim tried to change details of the contract in order to gain more money.
Various reports also claim that the CEO of Yolim, together with all his staff, has stepped down from the company in July. JCE, which has a 51% stake in Yolim, replaced the departed staff in a short period of time. The Japanese version of Valkyrie Sky has announced its closure by the end of September. Will the North American server follow suit soon?
