You must be wondering why did I add a “Sort of” in the title for this post. Well, Open Beta has actually been announced on 16th September 2010 for the Chinese server of Forsaken World, But the official announcement comes with mixed details which left the Chinese community in a foul mood. Here are the indepth info announced:
1. All Closed Beta players will be able to play in Open Beta on 16th Sep.
2. All Closed Beta players will be able to invite someone to play the Open Beta with them.
3. After the above requirements are fulfilled, the Open Beta will then be open to everyone.
Sounds confusing? Even though it says Open Beta will be on 16th Sep, it seems not everyone will be able to start on that day, and there was no mention of how many buddy codes each Closed beta players will get. After searching through the forums, the only information given by a Customer Service Officer was “please wait for more news”. I will post an update once more news are confirmed.
Frustrations aside, the Closed beta lasted for 226 days, went through 32 major updates, 9562 quest changes and 34515 bosses (I think this includes all instances and world bosses) being slayed.
