As I reported a few backs back, Battle of the Immortals has just been revealed by Perfect World Beijing. However, I still deeply believe that it will just be a huge expansion in the English server, contrary to what some suggest as a totally new game. The community was also quite skeptical due to the fact BoI is looking more and more like the Diablo series of games. If I may comment, the development of this new extension to the original involved a few Blizzard veterans who made Diablo (now part of Runic Games), so it is not exactly surprising the game is going towards that direction.
To clear things up, this is only a re-branding of BoI in the China server, not a totally new game. Please stop speculating about having another new BoI server etc.
Perfect World Beijing has just released the first official teaser trailer for BoI 2, which displayed a gracious amount of in-game action. Instead of being drawn into the “controversy”, have a look at the trailer!
