The website for Hellgate: Tokyo recently refreshed with more information regarding this new update. While most of the details are already covered in my previous posts, here are more indepth details which were mentioned. As you can see below, there will only be 2 main bases, with the one right in the middle known as Tokyo Base Camp. This is where all players will start after they enter Tokyo (after completing London).
If you are interested in the storyline, here goes. In August of year 2019, 3 corpse weighing a total of 300 tonnes were found at Tokyo Bay. These were demons’ corpses. Rumors began to spread that the demons are trying to enter Tokyo through a portal, and the 3 bodies meant that they failed at the first attempt. Soon, the rumors died down and no one took notice. A year later, September 2020, a level 2-3 scale earthquake hit Tokyo. Even thoght the damage done was not significant, the aftershocks were felt not only in Japan, but also in South Korea, North Korea and even parts of China. Nations began to take notice due to the massive scale of aftershocks. Little did they know that it was just the beginning of the demons’ plans to enter Tokyo…
There will be some new equipments, as you can see below.
I will not be translating the new skills, as my Chinese source’s details are not clear and understanding of Korean is really not up to par yet. Briefly, Blademaster gets a Healing skills, another which requires a sacrifice of defense to add more melee damage. Guardian gets an entangle skill and a shield boomerang attack skill. Cabalist gets 2 dark skills, one of which turns the players into a dark demon for a limited time. Tere will also be a new slot for ring, and rings only drops from boss kills.
