On 9th February 2010, Kim Taek-jin, CEO and founder of Korean MMO giant NCsoft, announced over a phone conference that console versions of Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 are in development. He stressed that the games are not 100% console bound and will only announce officially after the end results meet the company’s satisfaction and standards. This should mean that if criteria are not met, the plug will be pulled on the project.
Kim also confirmed that Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 will be released in 2011, with Blade & Soul aiming for its first Closed Beta in the first half of 2010. He also confirmed that Aion (should be Korean version) will be upgraded to version 2.0 in the first half of 2010.
