I’m late on this, the official website for Red Cliff Online went live 3 days ago. The game is developed by Perfect World Entertainment, so expect a Perfect World / Jade Dynasty re-skin with a few twitches in the graphical department. I don’t think the game looks bad, but maybe it looks boring since the games using the same engine are being released too close to each other in terms of time. Red Cliff is actually a location, one of the most important, to feature in the classic novel Romance of the 3 Kingdoms. The battle which took place there was also made into a 2-part movie just last year by acclaimed director, John Woo.
The game will be hosted in Malaysia, essentially making it the SEA English server. For those who played Perfect World and Jade Dynasty, it will be a easy game to start off.
