Yeap, its yet another game by Perfect World Entertainment, the 3rd Jade Dynasty MMORPG following Jade Dynasty and the announcement of Jade Dynasty 2, this is Fantasy Jade Dynasty.
I know the detractors will go, oh no, not another similar MMORPG from Perfect World etc, but the company is basically trying to build up its profile before bringing out the big guns. Proof ? According to Gamasutra, the company’s revenue from April to June 2009 is USD76.3million, up 22.6 percent percent over the previous quarter and 55.9 percent over the same period in 2008. That is a huge profit for a F2P publisher, and the company has, in development, a breath-taking MMORPG which is aimed for the US/EU crowd, due to be revealed next year. So, let’s get back to topic.
Fantasy Jade Dynasty is a 2D turn-base MMORPG, which is the company’s first. Personally, I think this game will be published by Perfect World US, as there are not really many turn-based MMOs in the English market. Once again, it has every elements of previous MMOs from the company, pets, mounts, flashy skills and more. The main feature it boasts is the flying system, which seems to be the staple of most upcoming MMOs nowadays.
There are 6 clans/classes, and should be similar to the ones found in Jade Dynasty, each having their own unique battle traits, from healing specialist, AOE nuker, tanker etc.
