Earlier today, Tencent Games announced a new game based on NCsoft’s Blade & Soul IP, Hongmoon Rising. Co-developed between the 2 companies, Blade & Soul: Hongmoon Rising is reported as a “multi-platform” title, with PC and mobile versions heavily speculated. The game story takes place before the current Blade & Soul, and will look at the rise of the mighty Hongmoon Clan. Awesome!
According to the Chinese media, the game is still in the midst of development, with no schedule announced. Tencent Games also announced the game update content for July and August, including the annual summer swimsuit “festival”. If you did not know, Tencent, the parent company of Tencent Games, recently spent over USD 8 billion to purchase Supercell, developer of Clash of Clans.
