Announced last month, China-based developer Snail Games is now developing a mobile game based on Lineage II, currently titled Lineage II: Blood Oath. Crafted using the in-house Flexi Engine, used to make Age of Wushu, Snail Games had an offline event in China last week where selected media and veterans of Lineage II China were treated to trying out Lineage II: Blood Oath for the first time.
In case you are wondering, this is indeed an official Lineage II game licensed with NCsoft. Do not confuse this with the one NCsoft is developing, Lineage II: Dawn of Aden. According to reports, the demo version of Blood Oath has 4 races (Human, Elf, Orc, Kamael), each with 3 class advancements, though only 1 path is available. It seems like Snail Games is keeping the content very authentic.
Similar to the PC client version, there is a huge world in Blood Oath where players can meet each other and fight together, just like a true mobile MMORPG. There is an “assistance” function, which takes over most of the tasks for players, including combat. The classic maps and PVP modes are still in development, as Blood Oath is still in the development phase. Stay tuned for updates!
