With Hellgate Global closing a few months ago, the Korean server was on borrowed time. Recently, developer and publisher Hanbitsoft announced Hellgate Korea will be shutting down on 26 February. Hanbitsoft initially had big plans to expand Hellgate and even a sequel, but gave up after the mobile wave struck gamers. A mobile game and virtual reality game are in development right now.
