Over the weekend, World of Jade Dynasty was revealed as Perfect World’s latest MMORPG over in China. In an interview during the media event, Mr Yunfan Zhang, COO of Perfect World, confirmed World of Jade Dynasty will be definitely head overseas, but no further details were provided. To expand the Jade Dynasty IP, a TV series, movie, and a mobile app are being looked into.
Despite developers all scrambling to churn out mobile games and ditching client online games, Perfect World has been really steady in pushing out new titles for both platforms. Mr Zhang is adamant at least one new client game will launch each year. The company is also setting its eyes on the console market, with Neverwinter its big launch this year with World of Jade Dynasty to follow.
