[Game website] With Civilization Online currently only scheduled for release in Asia, Chinese gaming website 17173.com held an interview with XLGAMES founder, Mr Jake Song, while receiving 3 exclusive screenshots of the game.
There will be 4 civilization to choose from, China, Rome, Egypt and Aztec. There are also 4 classes revealed, being the Engineer, Farmer, Miner and Soldier.
For example, players may start as a soldier, with the current leader being another NPC. Players must then work their way up in society to gain trust and respect before replacing him.
There are 2 ways players (as soldiers) can replace the current leader, either by completing quests (straightforward) or helping citizens with their troubles, gaining more experience, wealth and recognition. A vote can then be held for electing the next leader.
Some quests which can raise citizens’ positive feelings include helping farmers chase away bandits, eventually raiding the bandits’ lair and occupying the location.
To cut things short, civilizations will eventually be able to battle each other after exploration and stuff. There is too much information to type, but hopefully you get the franchise’s ideas.
