A game found by chance, it seems Korean developer Magics is getting ready for Cronix Online to be introduced to the world. A multiplayer room-based PvP title, once again it resembles Nexon’s Cyphers, which is massively popular in South Korea.
The unique control scheme mentioned is the ability to use a smartphone as the controller, moving the character around and casting skills. I am not really sure how the gameplay will feel, but I am genuinely intrigued. Some may argue it seems like a lame experiment, but hey, no harm trying ๐
As expected, there are several modes in Cronix Online, including the popular Dota-like map, point capture, team death match and more.
There are also PvE modes, such as protecting a structure from minion waves and boss battles. 108 character are being planned now, with several group types (attack, support etc).
Crafted by Unreal Engine (most probably 3), there is no news of any test dates or publishers yet. Magics itself is a rather unknown developer despite being in the industry for some time now, so it will be interesting to see how this game pans out.
