Archlord II – New images as Closed Beta 1 draws close

In a month full of Closed Betas in Korea, Archlord II is preparing to begin theirs in less than 2 weeks’ time. Still a hardcore PvP title with a couple of battlefields allowing 200 Humans going against 200 Orcs, developer Webzen today announced that the 8 instanced dungeons (images below) available for testing will have 4 difficulty modes, each giving out better loots as it scales. These 8 dungeons are split 4-4 between the 2 waring factions.

Closed Beta 1 will feature the 2 warring factions, 8 different dungeons, 2 different battlefields, over 500 kinds of weapons and armor, 3 structured PvP systems (5Vs5, 10Vs10, 20Vs20), castle siege and more. There are certain weapons which each race (Orcs and Human) can wield, but each character may hold any at any given time to build a hybrid character, hence there is no actual “fixed” class system this time round. Screenshots and videos can be found in my previous posts.

I remember playing the 1st closed beta… All I have to say is that I hope it improved 100x because it was just terrible! Weird movement and graphically looked like puke.

Wait… It must have been alpha. Not sure why they had it in North America, but I specifically remember playing it. Maybe I imagined it?

I believe that was Archlord Chronicles.
