Command & Conquer goes Free-to-Play

k, before you are going to say that there is already a F2P C&C game in the form of Alliance, this is a client-based game we are talking about, not a Facebook/ browser one. Developed using Frostbite 2, the same one which crafted the amazing looking Battlefield 3, Command & Conquer seems to be a reboot of the much beloved franchise which went into cold storage (sort of) after EA bought out original development studio, Westwood Studios, and closed it down subsequently.

Interested gamers may sign up for Beta here, but given that the final business model has not been confirmed despite going F2P, I would say originals fans like me should really not get too much hope up. Did I mentioned Bioware is the developer for the game?
